Rhizovention

As always, you can expect a variety of circus workshops, games, fun and a diverse supporting programme at this year's Rhizovention!
This year, the motto CouRAGE will accompany us throughout the festival. It should inspire us in our creative processes and give us a framework to try out courage and anger, embody them, put them into context and bring them to the stage.
WORKSHOPS
The Rhizovention features more than 24 workshops of different circus disciplines! Wether you are a beginner or almost pro - there is something for everyone. In addition to the circus workshops on offer, participants have the opportunity to indulge themselves in various additional programme such as the parade through the village, Awareness-Workshops, screen printing and the open stage. We also cordially invite you to enjoy free training together, to exchange ideas, to create a piece or two or simply to play!

Creation Workshop & Show
There will be a public show on Friday evening (June 21st)!
This year we are developing a show on the theme of “CouRAGE” together with the festival participants. We would like to give aspiring artists and courageous beginners the opportunity to create a show together and present it publicly.

OUR VALUES
Together with around 80 participants, we will create a small utopia for several days at Rhizovention - just as we imagine the circus, but also how we imagine community life. In addition to the circus focus, we consciously focus on ecological, participatory and inclusive approaches. We see this as an approximation of our vision for “a good life for everyone”.
What does this mean specifically for the Rhizovention?
PARTICIPATION
Your help is needed! Only in this way is it possible to realise the Rhizovention at affordable ticket prices. We organise the volunteer work in advance so that you know when you can come and help!
ENVIRONMENTAL AND CLIMATE PROTECTION
We try to organise our events as environmentally friendly as possible. This includes vegan, organic catering, an environmentally friendly arrival and departure concept, a sophisticated waste concept, the rental of equipment and the use of second-hand materials.
AWARENESS
There will be an Awareness Team at the Rhizovention itself, which you can contact at any time if you have any incidents, problems or concerns.

ORGANISING BARRIER-FREE EVENTS
... is a major concern for us as an organisation team, which we try to implement in the best possible way according to our resources.
Among others, the Rhizovention is translated into ÖGS by 2-3 interpreters as required. For more infos please write us an email to rhizovention@rhizomatic.at.
LOCATION
The Rhizovention takes place in beautiful Drosendorf an der Thaya in the Waldviertel. Getobt und trainiert wird in verschiedenen Locations, allen voran das ca. 550 m2 große Viermastzelt. Another highlight this year is a training room in Drosendorf Castle! The gymnasium, historic cinema hall and circus meadow also offer space for creative development.
The natural swimming pool on the Thaya invites you to relax, play and enjoy!
